Sun exposure affects how fast your chemicals get used up.
UV light breaks down your sanitizer.
Direct sunlight can destroy up to 90% of free chlorine in just a couple of hours. If your tub gets sun, we include a stabilizer (cyanuric acid) that acts as a UV shield — so your sanitizer actually lasts between treatments instead of burning off.
